Australia - 1 Ghana - 1

Go the socceroos!!

They almost got there...

They played Ghana in London so we toddled off to cheer the boys on and go to our very first football game in England. Was great! Haven't been around so many raucous Aussies in a while! Some interesting 'Aussie' chants filled the stadium when Ghana players took some dives....we are a charming bunch! We had cool seats, almost on the field!

Next game against Denmark in Feb and we will surely be there!

Back in the Motherland

Yes, we made it back....after a gruelling almost 30 hour trip!
We thought we had come back to a war zone with explosions going off everywhere...until we realised it was Guy Fawkes Day or weekend rather. There were fireworks going off constantly, big organised ones in the park down the road as well as every household letting off their little collection throughout the weekend.

I went back to work and basically hit the ground running...while Paul enjoyed a week off to relax and search for a new job. Not sure how far he got but we seem to have acquired a new massive LCD screen and sound system....?? not sure how that works?!

Was so good to see a lot of you when we were home. It was very hard to leave again but also gave us a good boost to come back..We are so happy and feel very blessed that we were able to be back for Cheesy's 21st and Stu & Anika's wedding.

It's getting really cold here, the central heating is cranking! But it's also very festive which makes it exciting. Christmas lights are going up everywhere and everyone seems to be counting down the days until Dec 25.

We are pretty much stationary through Nov which is nice. We have a few days planned in Germany mid Dec which we can't wait for. Apparently the Christmas markets are amazing and we are spending a couple of days in the Black Forest as well.

So that is about it for an update. Bye for now!

God's blessings,
L&P
