Scotland

3 glorious days in a castle, gourmet food, waited on hand and foot....what more could you want??! Yep, that's right, we stayed in a castle in an old ancient town called Peebles not far from Edinburgh in Scotland. I managed to keep the location a secret until just before we got on the plane...pity about the big monitor saying EDINBURGH on it just before we boarded! Was SO beautiful and relaxing! We felt a bit out of place at times, a little under dressed shall we say....other guests rocked up to the dining room in suits and dresses and little old Paul and I had only brought jeans! I made Paul try some haggis for breakfast one morning and he almost vomited! Who knows what on earth is in that stuff...

We did a bit of exploring as you can see. The country side was very beautiful and Edinburgh was ar really cool city as well. We stumbled upon the 100-Aker wood where Winnie the Pooh lives! Didn't even know it was in Scotland and no, we didn't see old Winnie...

So, not long now folks until we are upon the shores of Oz again, for flying visit number 2 for Paul and number 1 for me. Hopefully will catch up with some of you in the flesh then!

Farwell to the Tommies...

Yes, it's true. Our tommies were hit with the dawning of the winter chill... As you can see, it's not good. October has brought with it a major change in temperature and we are finally having to pull out the scarves and beenies! So, yes, all the hard work for nothing but we have learnt much! So I guess this brings a close to the tomato chapter....not sure what weird hobbie Paul is going to take up next....I'm a bit scared actually...

Well lots has happened since the last bloggy. Paul has his 26th birthday, Mum and Dad Sherwinator went home, Sakai and Burling have moved out (they have been gone about a week now...we are experiencing empty nest syndrome made worse by no more coming home to dinner waiting on the table!), Paul went home for Phil and Bea's wedding, Mark and Mim got engaged (woohoo!) and we just celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary! It's pretty much going to get busier up until Christmas with travel, vistors, work and more travel!

Anyway, got to go and pack cause we are flying off to a secret destination for the next 3 days for our anniversary....see you when we get back!
